President Rodrigo Duterte wants to make drug testing a requirement for all incoming college students. I agree on what President Duterte's point on drug testing. This is to make sure that there is no student involved in selling or using drugs because that can affect others inside the university. This is just to make sure that every students who studies inside the universities are in good condition.
The RDT or Random Drug Testing that happens every year in St. Paul University Quezon City means a lot to the parents of the students because nowadays most of the youth goes to other direction which means they are going in a wrong way; leading to uses of drugs particularly. The SPUQC’s Student Welfare Committee’s objectives won’t take risk the life of the student but it is to help them to change to be a good Paulinian and an individual. I hope that the SPUQC will continue to guide the students in the right way they should be because this will lead them in the bright and good future that they deserve. I can say that SPUQC's annual drug testing is well-managed. However, I think drug testings should be done randomly, like all other mandatory random drug tests. I think it's better to do it that way to assure the accuracy of the results. This is the best way to cure the youth because I believe in a saying “Ang kabataan ang Pag-asa ng Bayan”.
