RELIVING THE WIZARDING WORLD

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a new story written by J.K. Rowling. It is a Harry Potter prequel that takes place in the year 1925 in New York City which includes a new set of characters of wizards and witches.

J.K. Rowling debuts her first screenplay titled, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” It is a prequel of the successful Harry Potter franchise that took place in the year 1925 in the city of New York. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is originally a wizarding book and the author is a wizard named, Newt Scamander. This wizarding book was mentioned in the Harry Potter books.

Fantastic Beasts hit the big screen last November 17, 2016 that acquired $75M during the opening weekend. The film includes a news set of characters of wizards and witches, the main character of the film is Newt Scamander that is played by British actor, Eddie Redmayne. It also stars Katherine Waterston, Colin Farrel, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, and Alison Sudol. The film centers around the creatures inside the suitcase of Newt Scamander and a beast on the loose that threatens the exposure of the wizarding world. Throughout the film, fans can learn more about these creatures and what they can do.

The film is directed by David Yates who also directed previous Harry Potter films, Order of the Pheonix, Half-Blood Prince, and Deathly Hallows Part One & Two.

J.K. Rowling reveals that there are four more movies of Fantastic Beasts that fans can look forward to in the future. Rowling said that the story started from the year 1926 and will end in 1945. The future films will also feature the famous duel between two of the most powerful wizards, Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald. No one is still set to play young Albus Dumbledore but it is already revealed in the film that Johnny Depp is playing the Dark wizard, Gellert Grindelwald.

Another good news for the fans is that J.K. Rowling also released a book containing the original screenplay of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. If fans and readers wants to know more about the creatures in the film, there is also another book that Rowling released containing the names and abilities of these creatures.
