There are a lot of Chinese stereotypes you’ll come across with, an example is having small eyes, being good in math, being responsible but here are the basic things you need to do in order to be a Chinese Stereotype.
The first step to becoming a Chinese Stereotype is that you can’t be sick. Even if you are not feeling well, you just can’t be sick. For Chinese, hard work is the most important thing to able to provide enough for their family and their needs.
The next step is to cancel your vacation days. You can’t take a break from work because every single day to earn is important for Chinese. You’re a student? Yup still no vacation days, one day, you’ll be the one managing your parents’ business so as young as you are, you need to know all about the business so your parents can entrust it to you once you are older.
The third step is to own plenty of red shirts. For Chinese, red is the color of luck and during a birthday party of a Chinese, everyone is required to wear red. You don’t want to wind up wearing the same red shirt over and over again.
Want to go shopping? The fourth step is shop in malls around Divisoria, 999 Shopping mall, 168 Shopping Mall, 11/88 Shopping mall (Why are they all numbers? I honestly don’t know). Anyway, malls like these have fake products. Yes fake, but everything is cheaper beside they look the same anyways. Chinese are known to be thrifty to save money for more important and valuable things.
The fifth step is you have to believe in superstitions. A few of Chinese superstitions, they tend to avoid the number four because four sounds like death in Chinese. Another superstition is you can’t cut your nails at night because it can cause the death of your parents. These are just a few Chinese superstitions.
